Technical Resources
In
continuing to find new ways to meet the needs of our customers, from
time to time JJENCO will prepare and publish in-house technical resources
on important topical issues, and will make them available to interested
parties. These products may include databases, presentations, research
reports, and technical information notices (TechNotes). The following
items are presently available for sale.
Research
Reports (RR)
Research
reports are comprehensive technical documents prepared and published
by JJENCO that present the results of research conducted by JJENCO and
other independent research in the public domain. In addition, JJENCO
research reports focus on providing indepth analysis of the research
results, as well as our interpretation of their importance in application.
Research reports are typically presented in one or more volumes, each
in excess of 50-100 pages.

Information Notices (TN)
Technical
information notices, or TechNotes, present a focused technical discussion
of a specific topical issue designed to provide the reader with a thorough
understanding of the issue. This understanding will include presenting
the issue within a developed framework, typically consisting of background
information, description of the issue, relative importance, and a summarization
of available information on the topic. TechNotes will also typically
provide a level of analysis pertaining to the summarized information
with respect to the technical issue. TechNotes are typically a single
volume of less than 50-75 pages.

05-01: Understanding and Addressing Radially Inward Buckling in
Spiral-Wound Gaskets
The TechNote traces the history of the phenomenon back to the early
1980's and summarizes the prior investigation efforts by various
organizations to better understand the issue. Most importantly,
the TechNote provides our technical opinion - based upon a complete
review of the prior research, reported operational experience, and
our own first-hand knowledge - as to cause(s) of RIB in SWG, and
the advantages and disadvantages of the various mitigation strategies
currently available. ORDER |

Presentations (TP)
Technical
presentations are designed to support the presentation of topical information
by a speaker to an audience, or for individual review in a computer-based
training function. JJENCO technical presentations often incorporate
multimedia elements and animation sequences to convey key concepts associated
with the topical presentation information. The presentations are typically
Microsoft PowerPoint files, delivered in either a native or slideshow
format, but may also be delivered as a Adobe Portable Document Format
(PDF) file.

Databases (ID)
Information
databases capture and organize topical information developed or collected
by JJENCO. These databases will typically support various degrees of
data analysis and reporting functions, depending upon the native database
format. Simple data sets, or those where statistical analysis is important,
are usually delivered in Microsoft Excel (XLS) file format. Where greater
levels of information categorization or capture of non-alphanumeric
data types (e.g., photographs, sounds, etc.) are required, the databases
are typically delivered in Microsoft Access (MDB) file format. Diverse
text, graphic and hypertext data may also be delivered as a Folio Infobase
(INF), where complete indexing of the data set is required to support
complex queries identifying linkages between diverse data within the
Infobase.
