EBOX Weatherproof Electronics Enclosure

With the increase in wireless networking applications, a need has arisen for an inexpensive, weatherproof electronics enclosure that can be easily customized and adapted to house a variety of electronics packages for different applications. To meet this need, JJENCO offers the EBOX, based upon proven Pelican-style case technology.

Pelican cases are available in a range of sizes and colors to meet individual specifications. Our basic EBOX is based upon the versatile Style 1450 Pelican case, in yellow ABS material. Inside dimensions are 14-13/16" x 10-3/8" x 6" (37.6 cm x 26.3 cm x 15.2 cm). Outside dimensions are 16" x 13" x 6-7/8" (40.6 cm x 33 cm x 17.4 cm). The lid depth is 1.75" (4.4 cm), while the overall case depth is 4.25" (10.8 cm).

Pelican cases are made from a Ultra High Impact structural copolymer, and are lockable, watertight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof. Its 1/4" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring and ABS latches seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. This case is NATO codified and tested to MIL C-4150J (Military Standard), IP-67 (Ingress Protection).

As shown at left, the EBOX can be easily configured with an RF antenna, and comes with either wall-mount or mast-mount attachment hardware, as specified. The basic EBOX container is of sufficient size to easily incorporate a power supply, electrical junction box, 802.11x wireless access point, or other similarly sized components. The yellow color minimizes unwanted internal heat gain in summer, while providing high-visibility that blends well with most environments. JJENCO will design and customize each EBOX to meet individual customer requirements, and deliver fully integrated electronics packages ready for installation and use.
